A Lazy but Comfy OOTD

Today's OOTD is a bit different to the usual posts I see because it features pajamas!

Now, I'm not saying I went out in these today (well, I do if I make a late night trip to McDonald's), but when you're feeling under the weather, tired and not yourself, sometimes a day in your comfy PJ's is just what the doctor ordered.

These are my favourite pajamas. I bought them a few weeks ago from Primark in the sale, half price at £5 - what a bargain! To be honest it wasn't the price that interested me, it was the design - it's Disney's Mickey and Minnie, so of course I had to have them!!

The set consists of long printed bottoms with a short sleeved printed t shirt. The bottoms are elasticated so they're ultra comfy to wear in bed and are decorated with Mickey's face printed in white all over them. The t shirt is grey and is decorated with a sailor Mickey and Minnie and the text "Love Me, love Me Knot"

I wish it was acceptable to wear these to work. How cool would that be?!

Mr Nutcase Custom Phone Case

If you're a regular reader you'll know that just over a year ago, I blogged about my custom phone case by Mr Nutcase; CLICK HERE. At the start of July, I was due an upgrade and of course with a new phone you're always worried you'll damage it. I loved Mr Nutcase's products and quality so much, I wasted no time in customising and ordering a new case for my new phone!

My previous phone was a Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini, so it was considerably smaller than the standard S3 phone and phones in general to be honest. However, my new phone, the Sony Xperia M4 Aqua is huge. It measures approximately just over 5.5 inches x just under 3 inchesso it's even bigger than my Boyfriend's iPhone 6!

Obviously as it's a larger phone, the case and pictures are larger and clearer- so this instantly excited me when I started designing it! If you remember, I recently visited Walt Disney World Florida and took soo many photos it was unreal. This made it soo hard to decide what photos to use :( but I finally decided on a design of 4 horizontal photos.

I designed and purchased the case pretty late on Wednesday night, therefore the order wasn't processed until Thursday and it didn't arrive until Friday morning - which I was still very impressed with!

This is my second case from Mr Nutcase and I cannot fault the product or quality. Everytime I look at my phone, it reminds me of the most magical place in the world and how excited we felt when we were there!

Have you got any personalised items? I'd love to know where you designed/purchased them from!

Estee Lauder Signature Lustre Lipstick | Dune Rose |

Whilst in Florida, I went shopping! I had heard of Estee Lauder lipsticks but they didn't interest me because of the price tag but everything in Florida is cheaper than the UK so I did indulge and treat myself! I played safe and went for a signature hydra lustre lipstick in Dune Rose - a shade that matches the brown, red and mocha tones for my skin!

Seriously, the packaging is beautiful. Who could say no to a rich gold embossed lipstick?! Of course, the metal facing makes it heavier than the usual lipstick on the high street but going that extra mile with the aesthetics does make it look more high end!

It does have a slight shimmer making it perfect for Summer days in the sunshine and the colour is quite pigmented on my own lips. As it is a hydra lustre lipstick, it is quite glossy but I found that this made it bleed a little throughout the day. I also didn't find it as durable as my MAC lipsticks and at £22 it is more expensive so therefore I would probably stick with MAC!

Great for packaging, not so great for wear and tear!

My First MAC Lipstick Purchases | Plumful & Twig |

I know what you all think, "She's never tried a MAC lipstick before?!", but it's true. I never thought much to the £15.50 price tag to be honest, UNTIL I tried one in America a couple of months ago, and I don't think I'll ever look back!

I purchased Plumful first at Gatwick airport and Twig whilst on holiday in Florida Mall.
Originally, I wanted Velvet Teddy, but after seeing how much it didn't show up on my lips I decided it wasn't for me! Dark reds and browns look good with my skin tone and therefore I was drawn to Plumful in lustre and Twig in satin. Both shades are different to eachother but match my skin and moods perfectly. Of course, plumful is shinier and glossier compared to twig which is more matte of the two.

One thing I can say about my first MAC lipstick experience is that they are durable! I apply my lipstick when I get to work and it genuinely stays on throughout the whole day! If I eat quite a lot then I do re-apply, but if I didn't my lipstick would still be noticeable! They also don't bleed or fade which is great for a 'just applied' look throughout the day.

Therefore, as I have a few events coming up later this month, I have treated myself to another one; a satin lipstick in Captive! I genuinely will not go back now I've tried MAC. Why didn't anyone push me to take the plunge before?!

When did you try MAC lipsticks? And would you recommend me any shades to try (staying in the current deep red/brown tones!)

Dorothy Perkins Sunnies | Fashionable & Practical |

I know we haven't had much of a Summer, but when the sunshine comes out, so do the sunnies! I didn't by any means need any more pairs, I have about 4 lurking in my drawers somewhere, but when I saw the cute design of these from Dorothy Perkins, I just couldn't resist!
The main thing that caught my eye (excuse the pun) were the shape of the lenses - they're hearts! I thought they were a super cute shape without looking tacky! The frame is gold in colour and this entwines with the brown tones of the lenses. I can't remember exactly how much they were, but they were approximately £6 which I think is a total steal!

Usually when I wear sunglasses they irritate my nose and make me feel a bit uncomfortable after about 30 minutes, but these didn't. I wore these for the whole 2 and a half hours it took me to drive to my sister's house by the coast and they were soo comfy! They were really good at blocking out the sun too - fashionable and practical - definitely a keeper pair!

Have you got any sunglasses with cute shaped lenses that are fashionable AND practical?!

University | Humorous Hints & Tips |

I finished University a year ago, and I am proud to say I graduated with a 2:1 BA Hons in Business Management. The majority of students-to-be would have already chosen their desired University options and therefore I thought I would pull together a humorous post about some hints and tips for University to put a light spin on a situation that can be quite stressful and daunting for a lot of you!

1.  No matter what year you're in, your grades DO count. Don't fall victim to "the first year doesn't count"

2.  At the beginning of the year you'll always make an effort with your look but by the end you really will not care - sitting in the library with your hair doused in Batiste and in a ponytail will become a regular thing.

3.  New books are daylight robbery.. scrap that.. even used books are daylight robbery. But they need to be bought so bite the bullet and look for the best deal of an expensive situation!

4. Do you know how to budget? If not, learn - it will definitely be worth it.

5.  Believe it or not, the library is your friend. You may laugh now, but you'll be living in it by the end of the year.

6.  You will have no back or arms after lugging 1,573 books around the Uni campus for study.

7. Post-it notes and highlighters help you wake up and focus when there are 1,568,569 things to think about during exam time.

8.  Sophia and Simon were my partners in crime and best friends - it was great to share the journey with them and know I wasn't the only one that was stressed. It's always good to have partners in crime.

9. You'll meet a lot of people who you'll question how on earth they got into uni or who they are even still attending.

 10. You don't have to party or get absolutely blind drunk to have a good time.

11. Whilst 'living' in the library, a bag full of snacks helps because let's face it, finishing those assignments into the early hours needs some nibbles!

12. You know those books you'll buy for those 1,572 lectures in a week.. you probably won't use them throughout the whole year, BUT just as the exam comes, BOOM - you need it.. where is it?

13. And finally, you will never get away from the generalisation and view of being a student means that your lazy and you do no work - just accept it because you will never change their opinion.
Are you heading off to Uni this year or have you just finished and can relate to my humorous words of wisdom?

Cute Summer Sandals | Primark |

I know it might not look like it when you look outside your windows, but Summer is on its way! That means getting all of your Summer clothes and accessories ready for the British sunshine and also getting ready for those Summer getaways! That's exactly what I've been doing - a few weeks ago I flew home from a trip to Disney World Florida, and whilst shopping for some new bits for my adventure, I found these beautiful sandals in Primark!

Primark Sandals - £8

I love the pink and gold tone straps and the beads and jewels on the straps which make them look ultra girly and pretty - I just couldn't resist them! I must admit they are from the children's section - but the footwear goes up to a size 4 and they were a bargain at £8 so what's not to love?!

They fasten with a buckle and are a secure fit, so the sandals aren't flapping around being loose and annoying when you're walking. They have a little heel, so they're not dead flat meaning they won't be fit for the bin after a few wears and the sole of the sandal is quite comfy with a soft suede like feel.

I wore these in all the Disney parks and out and about at night and they were absolutely beautiful. Not only do they go with practically everything I have (because they're pink and girly) but they also made my feet feel pretty and they're quite comfortable (even though I hate having my feet out).

I love these - they were a perfect edition to my Disney trip and made me feel like a Princess!

DisneyWorld Florida | Hints & Tips Excursions & Trips |

|| UNIVERSAL ||

Whilst booking our holiday, we purchased a 14 day ticket for Universal. This meant we could go whenever and however many times within the 2 weeks we were in Florida. The only thing we had to book with our rep in the resort was transport to Universal which was approximately $20 return each.

**Make sure you take photo ID and the ticket that is printed for you to the resort otherwise you will be refused entry and have to repurchase**

|| SHOPPING ||

Our travel agency offered a wide range of excursions and trips including the Kennedy Space Center, Dolphin encounters, Sea World and Shopping trips. I would recommend sorting them as soon as you arrive because you can plan around them and not miss out on any plans!

We booked the Shopping Extravaganza for $45 each. The shopping trip involved a trip to Walmart, an American buffet breakfast (included in the $45), Premium Outlet Mall and Florida Mall. It's a great trip to get some great gifts and treats for yourself! Of course, you can visit these outlets and malls on your own accord without booking through a rep etc.

|| SWIM WITH DOLPHINS ||

With Thomson, it was priced at approximately $300. Unfortunately it was too expensive for us but if you get the chance and have the spare cash, I would definitely recommend going!

DisneyWorld Florida | Hints & Tips for the Parks |

**If you're a Disney Resort Guest, make the most of extra magic hours!**

Go to the parks early - make the most of your time in Disney, you don't want to regret it!
The heat and business takes it toll, so don't burn yourself out by doing too much in one day. We found breaking up the day worked very well for us. We went to a park at 8 and came back at 1 for a rest and shower. We then headed out again in the late afternoon/evening to another park once we were refreshed and it had cooled down a bit.

|| MANAGE YOUR FAST PASSES LOGICALLY ||

Book your fast passes in advance as you'll find the most popular rides are unavailable at your desired time. If you change your mind, you can edit your fast pass attractions and times. HINT: If you do happen to get to your fast pass attraction which has hardly any waiting time - don't use your fast pass! Go on the ride through the stand-by entrance and change your fast pass option to another attraction for the same time!

Also, we found booking them for the earliest/latest times and one after another worked very well as we didn't have to pack out our time!

|| GIRLS; TAKE A BACKPACK ||

Seriously. On the first day we went to the Magic Kingdom and I took my handbag. I never did again. Instead I took my Minnie Mouse backpack and it was the best decision. When you're in a busy park with hustle and bustle and going on rides and meeting characters, there is no point in taking round an awkward. large and heavy handbag. Plus, compared to my handbag, I packed a lot into my backpack and it wasn't heavy on my shoulders!

|| FOOD ||

The kids meals were more than enough for me, so find your bearings with food on the first day, don't waste money on food you won't eat. Also, forget the myths about food being expensive in the parks - it really isn't! $12 for an adult burger, chips and side salad is not expensive compared to here in Britain!

If you're looking for somewhere to eat quickly, check the My Disney Experience App and search for dining according to preferences such as cheap to expensive places or location or cuisine.

DisneyWorld Florida | Hints & Tips Accommodation |

|| International Drive vs Disney Resort ||

When we booked our holiday, we were constantly asked whether we were staying on International Drive or in a Disney Resort. The answer is, we stayed in a Disney Resort and to be honest, we are SOO glad we did! A lot of people said and still say that it's more expensive to stay in a resort, but it's really not and totally worth it compared to all of the extras and benefits you get as a Disney Resort guest!

Here are just some of the extras you benefit from as a Disney Resort Guest:
  • Free shuttle bus service to all Disney parks that run every 20 minutes for your convenience, saving on transport costs and parking.
  • Magic hours - every day a Disney Park opens an hour earlier or closes an hour or so later for the benefit of Disney Resort Guests.
  • Magic Bands - Great for linking with your Fast Passes, Magic Memories and payment methods.
  • Dining plans - great for families but weigh up whether they are worth the money compared to what you will actually eat.

We stayed in the All Star Music resort - part of All Star Resorts which also include Music and Movies. It was only a 3* resort but we honestly couldn't fault it and to be honest you're not in your room a lot anyway because you're out in the parks the majority of every day!

Our resort was 5-20 minutes drive to each park and approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour to Sanford Airport.

DisneyWorld Florida | Hints & Tips Before You Go |

If you're a regular reader, you'll know I recently went to Walt Disney World Florida! I've had a few people ask for advice on their imminent Disney trips and those who are planning on making the plunge and booking one - so I've decided to write up a post on my top hints and tips on certain aspects on the most magical place in the world. This post is dedicated to hints and tips for before you go!

|| Use the My Disney Experience App ||

This app is AMAZING. It has pretty much every tool you'll need to plan your adventure before you go and whilst you're there! It includes completing your booking reservation, magic bands, booking fast passes for rides/character meets, dining, checking out official ride waiting times and soo much more! I reviewed it as part of my Disney Series, take a peek HERE.

|| Make a list of "Must Do's" ||

I felt more prepared once I had made a list of everything I wanted to do, and more importantly who I wanted to meet! My list included meeting Cinderella, Ariel, Minnie and Mickey, getting a photo in front of the castle and going to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Universal. Of course, I ticked every single one and more!

Don't go home regretting something you didn't do or someone you didn't meet, take every opportunity and make the most of every single day!

|| Book a Dining Experience ||

Cinderella's Royal Table in the Magic Kingdom is an amazing and magical dining experience as you get to eat in this beautiful room with Princesses! Unfortunately it was fully booked when I went and couldn't get a table at any time. Therefore if you're looking to do this as a one off, I would recommend booking it a few weeks in advance! - Just a heads up, if you fail to appear at your dining reservation, a charge will be applied to your debit/credit card!

|| Purchase Memory Maker / Photo Pass ||

Memory Maker is a digital photo system linked to your Disney account and magic bands. They store all of the photos taken by Disney PhotoPass Photographers (which can be found everywhere throughout Disney), Character meet and greets and ride experiences. It's approximately $169 / $189 depending what package is purchased and the amount is for the whole party.

 Over 2 weeks we accumulated 500+ photos by park photographers and ride experiences / character meets. It is definitely worth it! You can access your photos at any time during your stay and up to 45 days after each photo is taken, so make sure you download them as soon as you get home so you know you have them safe!

|| Car Hire vs Free Bus Shuttles ||

When booking our holiday, Simon and I balanced the option of hiring a car. When hiring a car, you have to pay to hire the car, insurance for the car, insurance for those in the car, fuel, plus parking costs. We decided to opt for coach transfers to and from the airport instead and we are soo glad we did

Whilst traveling to the parks we noticed ordinary visitors needed to pay to park their vehicle every time they entered. It's approximately $17 to park a regular car every time you enter the park, so if you're visiting 2 parks a day, that's $34 a day allocated to parking. Therefore we are soo glad we made the right decision for us because once we added up the costs, it wasn't worth it compared to free shuttles!

Now, I'm not saying it's the best decision for everyone, but just be aware of all of the costs involved and whether or not there is another option that would be just as convenient.

And finally, take as many photos as possible as you never know when you'll get the chance again.

'Today Will Be Awesome' #OOTD

I just HAD to share with you one of my OOTD in Disney! How cute is this jersey top from Next?! I bought it a couple of months ago for £8 in the children's section - their sizes come up quite big; I'm a size 6 & an age 12 was perfect, so I'd recommend you take a peek if you're a size 6-8!

This white jersey top is not just your basic white t-shirt. It been jazzed up - perfect for this Summer! The text is printed on and after a few washes it hasn't faded or discoloured! It's jazzed up a bit with neon pink stitching around the hem and neon pink beads around the space of the text.

It washed and ironed really well and I was very impressed considering the price! This t-shirt was PERFECT for Disney and Universal as it pretty much summed up every day!

Long Haul Flight OOTD | Disney Series |

As you all know, I'm off to America in under a week, so what a better time to share with you a Long Haul Flight OOTD?! I've popped together an #OOTD post to feature what I've chosen to wear on my long haul flight to Disney! My outfit features my fave brand, Dorothy Perkins and a bag that is totally practical for a long haul flight!

Short sleeved crepe shirt - Dorothy Perkins £22
Cardigan - TU Sainsbury's £9
Jeggings - Dorothy Perkins £22
Handbag - Tesco F+F £20
I can't stand plain tops. I love a pattern, and therefore I've chosen to travel in a floral yellow short sleeved crepe top. It's perfect for Spring Summer, not too warm and not too cold. I've teamed it with a white cutout cardigan, picking out the white in the floral print which will be handy to pop on if I get a bit chilly but I won't overheat!

If you know me, you'll know that all I own are Dorothy Perkins jeggings. I love them - they come in a rainbow of different colours and go with practically anything! They're elastic and therefore move with your body and shape making them super comfy - perfect for a long haul flight!

Of course, you have to add a bit of bling to any outfit, short or long haul, so I'm taking my trusty Pandora charm bracelet filled with charms that symbolise events & always make me smile.

I love my triple compartment tote bag. I've been using it since late last year from their Autumn/Winter 2014 collection and it's perfect for travelling! It's leather-look, but for £20 I can't complain! It has the option of a detachable adjustable shoulder strap so it's perfect for either carrying it in your hands or on the shoulder! What's interesting is the larger interior zip compartment which is in the middle of the bag- separating the bag into 3 sections. I love this as it allows you to separate items in your bag really easily and keeps it quite tidy.

What do you tend to wear on a long or short haul flight?!
