Nivea Daily Essentials Express Hydration Primer

I am a bad beauty blogger; I have a confession to make - I haven't used a primer in months! I know, bad. A couple of weeks ago, I was introduced to the Nivea Daily Essentials Express Hydration Primer by my good friend, Sophia from SophiaMeola. I'm a big fan of Nivea and as I have been using it for a few weeks, I thought I would share how I have got on with it so far!

"Instant Absorption...Moisturises & provides a smooth base for effective make-up application"
Nivea Daily Essentials Express Hydration Primer - Normal & Combination Skin - 50ml - £4.99 - PROMO £3.32
I chose the normal & combination skin primer by Nivea but it is also available for dry & sensitive skin. The primer is packaged in classic Nivea style - white, simple, classic and clean with the use of a simple colour scheme, white and shades of blue. This is just how I like it as I can see and read exactly what the product is, instead of a mass of text on a small box/tube! The box is larger than the primer pot itself as the bottom of the box is padded out with a little step. Although this cushions the glass pot whilst in transit and on the shelf, the size of the box deceives you regarding the size of the primer.

The glass tub is similar to the packaging; simple and classic. The screw on top and text of the glass are shades of blue, keeping in with the Nivea brand colours. The base of the pot is transparent displaying the primer inside. The product isn't over crowded with masses of text thus making it easy to read and simple although the simple, classic and clean look could suggest a clinical image. This is at the other end of the spectrum compared to Nivea's quest of using "ingredients inspired by nature".
The primer has a light fragrance smell, although it is not over powering. Although it's white in colour, it's transparent when applied. The consistency is creamy and light, spreading and absorbing very easily onto the skin leaving a soft and smooth base and feel. You only need a little on your fingertips as it spreads really easily - meaning you're not over using a product or putting more than you need to on your delicate skin! It isn't heavy and doesn't feel like it's clogging my skin up at the start of the day.
Does it work?
I've blogged about primers before and I personally feel they did work. Being a bad beauty blogger the last few months, I haven't used one purely because I ran out and it hasn't crossed my mind to re purchase! Since using the Nivea Daily Essential Express Hydration Primer for a few weeks, I have noticed a difference in my skin. You can either use the primer underneath your makeup or by itself. As a image conscious female, I prefer to use it under makeup rather than by itself!

It leaves my skin ultra soft and it really does feel like a benefit to your make-up routine! I do think it makes my makeup application stick a bit better in the morning as well as look that little bit fresher at the end of the day. It's one of the best I've used yet! I will continue to use the Nivea Daily Essentials Express Hydration Primer because it feels great on my skin, under my makeup and as a general positive product for my skin!
RATING:
Price; 4 STARS At £4.99 it's quite reasonable. You can find this product in most drugstores, which means student discount! At the time of purchase it was on promotion at £3.32 which is even better and a total bargain!

Promises; 5 STARS In my opinion, it does everything it says on the packaging. Of course, not everyone will love a product, but I do feel that the Nivea Primer benefits my skin and lives up to its promises!

Ease of Application; 5 STARS The primer is instantly absorbed. It feels creamy and light and leaves my skin feeling really soft and ready for my makeup, unlike leaving your skin heavy and clogged up.

Would I Recommend to a Friend?; YES I would definitely recommend this primer to anyone! It's a bargain at the moment and is worth a try! I'm a big fan of Nivea and this product has not disappointed me and it's definitely egged me on to continue priming my skin!

3 Counties Bloggers Meet | TrendLife Magazine

On Saturday 29th March 2014, I attended the 3 Counties Bloggers Meet, by TrendLife Magazine! It was my first ever bloggers meet up and although I was super nervous, I was very excited! Luckily, one of my closest friends; Sophia from SophiaMeola, attended too so I wasn't totally on my own and we also met up with a fellow blogger, Gemma from Sunshine on a Cloudy Day when we arrived too!

We shopped around a bit before meeting other fellow bloggers at Giovanni's Galeto. This is where we sampled a a couple of variations, Lemon, Strawberry and Mango - which is definitely my favourite! There wasn't a massive group of us, which can be looked upon either way, but I think a smaller group settled everyone's nerves and made it easier to talk and network!

After mingling with everyone, we made our way as a group over the The Casino MK. I'd heard of The Casino MK but never actually been in there. It was exciting, because there were bouncers on the doors and I was in an environment where I hadn't been before. When we arrived, we were greeted by TrendLife Magazine with our own personal goodybags which were filled with lots of unique and snazzy bits and bobs, platters, snacks and drinks before talking to each other about our blogs, interests and general chit chat.

Towards the end, some of the group left. It wasn't before long that the last 6 of us headed back over to the CentreMK and shopped before making our way home! I'd never been to a blogger meet up before and it was great to talk and network with other bloggers about the pressures of blogging, what their interests are and their own story behind their blogs.

TrendLife have informed us that there will hopefully be another meetup in the near future. If you're a blogger and part of the Beds, Herts and Bucks area - it would be great to see you next time! Get in touch with them, follow them on Twitter and look out for updates!
