I've Been Shortlisted!

A few months ago, I was entered into the Company Style Blogger Awards 2013 in association with New Look. It was an honour to have been only blogging properly for under a year to have been nominated, let alone today receiving an email to tell me that I have been shortlisted!!
I've been away from blogging for a while due to my endometriosis illness and University commitments as the last term comes to a close. BUT I cannot wait to get back and start when I'm more than 60% better and start blogging about amazing buys and tips!!
I have been shortlisted for the 'Best Thrifty Blog' award 2013, - misskirstyworsty.blogspot. You can either vote for me by clicking on the link at the top on the right sidebar, or follow the link HERE TO VOTE. I would really appreciate it as I never thought I was AMAZING at blogging compared to big names out there, and just to have been nominated is exciting and makes me more confident in what I love to do!
Thankyou. Without my readers I wouldn't be in this position.

Batiste Dry Shampoo

Now I am sure many girls, and guys with longer hair, have woken up one day in a rush and needed a little umph to their hair - whether that's because you hadn't had time to wash it or it just needs a short term fix for limp and lifeless hair that needs a re-vamp!

The Batiste range comes in aerosols of 50ml to 400ml, ideal for on the go and stocking up as a hair product for great nights out!

Batiste Dry Shampoo - Fruity Cheeky Cherry and Big and Bouncy XXL Volume

I discovered Batiste a while ago after I heard the hype about dry shampoo as a short term fix.
I first tried Batiste Fruity and Cheeky Cherry to give it a fresh smell and a little less flat.
You spray it under your hair onto the roots and leave it for a minute and then style and comb it through. It's white mist at first which makes you look like you have heavy dandruff haha, but once you comb it through and style your hair, it disappears and leaves your hair looking fresh and smelling fruity!
I've wanted volume for a while to give my hair a different look, and after trying some heated rollers which didn't agree with my hair, I thought I'd try Batiste Big and Bouncy XXL Volume.
Not only does it freshen up your hair, it adds volume and shape! But obviously dry shampoo is a short term fix as it adds more product onto the hair and over time it becomes heavy and does need a wash!
 But alternatively, if you don't intend on using Batiste to freshen up the hair, you could use it as a hair product to add shape and more bounce!

RATING:
Price;
4 STARS Approximately £2.99 for 200ml bottle/aerosol but are on promotion every now and then.

Promises; 4 STARS Batiste definitely freshens up my hair and gives it a little lift when I need a miracle in the morning. Of course it will never replace actually washing your hair, but it's a short term fix!

Ease of Use; 3 STARS. When you spray it on the hair it looks slightly white until you comb it through and style it. It can also make the hair feel a little heavy if you use too much or too frequently.

Would I recommend to a friend?; YES. After hearing a lot about it I'm glad I have this secret weapon when I'm running late!

Herbal Essences BEAUTIFUL ENDS

I love the feeling and smell of my hair when it's been washed and blow dried!
I heard that you should alternate what shampoo and conditioner you use every now and then to give your hair a lift? and I can say I have been naughty to this, as I stick with the same one!
Herbal Essences Beautiful Ends specialises in split end protection with red raspberry and silk extracts - this gives the beautiful smell and feel, and it available in 200ml and 400ml and shampoo and conditioner.
"...indulges every inch and helps to restore your hair's outer layer for softness. So the stronger it stays, the less it splits."
Herbal Essences BEAUTIFUL ENDS Shampoo and Conditioner - £3.79 400ml

I've used 'Beautiful Ends' (red), 'Silky Straight' (pink) and 'Tousle Me Softly' (purple). All three leave my hair feeling soft, nourished and super shiny!

Now, bare in mind that I used to style and use a LOT of heat on my hair when I was younger, and I still style my fringe and blow dry my hair every time it's washed. So when using  Herbal Essences, 'Beautiful Ends', it definitely lives up to promises as it leaves my hair feeling silky and moisturised!
It's approximately £3.79 for 400ml/£1.99 for 200ml, but there are regular promotions and offers in various high street stores, drug stores and supermarkets. I'd recommend for you to have a look at the different variations and try them when you see them on promo! Definitely worth a try!
RATING:
Price;
5 STARS This product is regularly on promotion at my local supermarket and drug store, which i can also use my NUS discount in too! The price is great for the amount you get!

Promises; 5 STARS My repeat purchases speak volumes. I've continued to use this for over a year. I used to use a LOT of heat on my hair, but now I only style my fringe and I always blow dry my hair. After using Herbal Essences my hair and tips feel so moisturised and silky!

Ease of Use; 5 STARS. The different variations of size, 200ml and 400ml make great use of how long your hair is. The shampoo lathers up so well.. what more can I say?

Would I recommend to a friend?; YESThere are so many variations there is bound to be one type to suit your needs!
