My New Inkings

Tattoos
In 2011, I got my first inking of stars - that I designed myself, on my foot and ankle. Your foot and ankle is the worst place to get it as it hurts so much! And it did. Although, I am glad I got it done and I have no regrets about it at all as it looks great in summer with a pair of heels and some pumps! :)
Although, I've wanted on on my wrist for a while now and everyone with tattoos on their wrist(s) look great! So after much deliberation, I decided to get my second inking on Saturday - just a small heart to symbolise everyone I love that's made a difference in my life. It hurt, but not as much as my foot did! Plus it only lasted 5 minutes.
I was unsure about getting the word 'Love' on my wrist at first, so I decided to wait a week or so to decide, but I decided to go ahead with it! Julie had trouble tattooing over my bone tendon bit and as with all tattoos, if it scabs and parts of the tattoo come off, I can go back and get it re done :) Perfect!

I have to keep rubbing Bepanthen into it - a nappy rash ointment which helps maintain my skin, hydrate it and support gentle skin recovery. My skin has always been dry so I have to keep putting a little bit more on than usual.
It is daring to get a tattoo on your wrist - a place where it's going to be visible for the rest of your life. But to be honest I don't think a lot of employers or society will care what you ahve on your body. As long as it's not offensive and is tasteful, who cares! I think tattoos are beautiful (depending what they look like). Plus I had my first on my foot/ankle and did think a lot about my wrist tattoos too before getting them.

  1. The heart is so cute. I have always been deathly afraid of needles. I am sure I would pass out if I were to get a tattoo.
